In 1999, Armstrong launched a punkified hip-hop group, called the Transplants, and to date has released a trio of records with them. In the meantime, Armstrong has made appearances alongside all kinds of acts, from Gwen Stefani and Pink to such more seemingly suitable projects as Bad Religion and NOFX. In 2007, Armstrong released his first proper solo album, a good time reggae-punk record, called A Poet's Life.
