The departure of drummer Sammy Altman to medical school in 2005 led to the Atlantic City Drum-Off: two nights in front of outspoken fans to test the live chops of potential replacements. Allen Aucoin survived and joined John Gutwillig (guitar), Marc Brownstein (bass) and Aron Magner (keys) for Disco Biscuits 2.0.
