Stereo Total's grand European adventure began when vocalist and drummer Francoise Cactus, a mademoiselle born Francoise Van Hove in Burgundy, France, met German Brezel Goring, who handles guitar, synthesizer and sampler duties for the Berlin-based duo. Together, the married couple released three albums on Bungalow Records and a couple of American releases on Bobsled before getting scooped up by Kill Rock Stars for the 2005 album <I>Do the Bambi</I>.
