<title>Playlists Featuring Spanky Wilson on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.14881655&amp;variant=artist-playlists&amp;rws=%2Fspanky-wilson%2Fplaylists.rss</link><description>Spanky Wilson is an American soul singer who was born in Philadelphia and began her career in the mid-'60s. She called Pittsburgh her home, where she got her start with small club dates and on a handful of big band recordings. Driven by her career, she moved to Los Angeles, where she lived until relocating to Paris in the mid-'80s. Though her career has included performances with jazz, funk and soul luminaries including Stanley Turrentine, Jimmy Smith, Sammy Davis Jr., and Marvin Gaye, she was mostly known for her funky (and highly valuable) 45s. That is until 2006 when she enjoyed a resurgence with the release of &lt;i&gt;I'm Thankful&lt;/i&gt; recorded with Will Holland and the Quantic Soul Orchestra.
