<title>Playlists Featuring Orson Welles on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.69245&amp;variant=artist-playlists&amp;rws=%2Forson-welles%2Fplaylists.rss</link><description>A true artistic genius, Orson Welles forever transformed the worlds of theater, radio, and, most spectacularly, film. Welles was also blessed with a rich, mellifluous voice that lent a little class to a myriad of inferior commercial and film products. None of this quite prepares you for his short-lived career in mood music. Welles lays out regret-tinged love raps that come on like Barry White reading from Proust's &lt;i&gt;Remembrance of Things Past&lt;/i&gt; while the backing music swells to amorous heights. This can be enjoyed as a great man's curious folly, a campy lounge classic, or best of all, as high-toned Quiet Storm for the upper crust.
