<title>Music Videos by Mims on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.13554039&amp;rws=%2Fmims%2Fmusic-videos.rss</link><description>The son of Jamaican immigrants, Sean Mims grew up in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood, where he received his first set of DJ equipment from his mother at age thirteen. Sadly, both of his parents passed away that same year. Mims dealt with his grief by studying hard in school and honing his chops as a hip-hop artist after school. After dropping out of community college to focus on his music, the MC began making a name for himself, first by changing his name to just plain old "Mims" (sans the "Sean"), then with a series of singles, including "Love Em All," a song from Baby Blue Soundcrew featuring Mims that was nominated for Best Video in Canada's 2001 Much Music Awards. In 2006, his independently released single "This Is Why I'm Hot" convinced EMI/Capitol, which put out his full-length debut in 2007.
