<title>Music Videos by Main on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.2423&amp;rws=%2Fmain%2Fmusic-videos.rss</link><description>Like their album covers of rectilinear frames that contain the natural elements of rock, ice and wood in abstracted close-ups, Main create structures out of organic sounds. Just as we can see the surfaces of distant planets without venturing there, Main create ambient landscapes to worlds we have yet to discover. With guitars as their primary instruments, former Loop bandmates Robert Hampson and Scott Dawson produce thick, fluid sounds akin to Loop or My Bloody Valentine without the rhythmic propulsion. As their tracks progress, you feel the solitude and claustrophobia of being lost in the dark woods or a maze of tunnels. You lose the presence of musicians and become increasingly aware of the oppressive presence of empty space. They leave you few signposts or tracks: instead, you are adrift in a landscape of sound.
