But it quickly became apparent in 1998 that Britt wasn't willing to stay in his lane. His solo debut, 1998's <i>When the Funk Hit the Fan</i>, was a tribute to Philly funk legends. The producer pivoted again with the 2003 album <i>Adventures in Lo-Fi</i>, which was a full-on indie hip-hop album.
