<title>Playlists Featuring Jonny Manak And The Depressives on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.14286248&amp;variant=artist-playlists&amp;rws=%2Fjonnymanak%2Fplaylists.rss</link><description>Jonny Manak (his real name), brother of Chris Manak (A.K.A. Peanut Butter Wolf) is a multi-instrumentalist who creates an electrified punk 'n' roll sound where he plays drums, bass, guitars and takes on all singing duties. Until they legalize human cloning, Manak's assembled touring quartet the Depressives will have to suffice. Aside from his solo outfit, Manak currently plays and tours in three bands: the Forgotten, the Cliftons and skate rock legends Clay Wheels (he's also a professional skater with his own signature board out on Sacrifice Skateboards).
Manak's first taste of musicianship came at age eight when he joined the school band for the sole purpose of getting to split class for an hour a day. After test-driving the clarinet at age nine, the bass clarinet at age 10, and the alto clarinet at age 11, Manak made an important life decision. "Screw clarinets." This was when he came to love old school punk and rock 'n' roll. Since then, Manak has played in Fang, the Resistoleros, the Odd Numbers, the Texas Thieves and over 30 Bay Area bands. Dues have been paid in full. His own music is Ritalin-deprived, temper-tantrum, seizure-inducing garage creations that ooze out of him as easily as last night's beer.
