Halliwell seems to be having a ball shouting out lyrics such as "Look at me / I'm your fantasy," even as baby-boomer parents are left wondering exactly how all this is supposed to be "girl empowering." Yet while Halliwell doesn't have the top talent of Bassey or Ann-Margret, she displays the same interest in a broad variety of styles. Like her mentor, the pre-Lourdes Madonna, she'll try anything once.
