The songs on <I>SDandR</i> bear the unmistakable mark of Billie Joe Armstrong's vocals, but the music is steeped in '60s garage rock. In fact, if Green Day had cut their teeth in a garage instead of at Gilman Street, they might have sounded like Foxboro Hot Tubs from the start. Raw sounds abound, with simple chord progressions, hand claps, lots of background harmonies and the occasional organ snaking its way through sonic flashbacks. Yes, Foxboro Hot Tubs come ready to please your inner go-go dancer.
