Extra Prolific Discography on Rhapsody Online

Originally from Houston but headquartered in the Bay Area, Extra Prolific (also known as Snupe) began his career as a member of the legendary Hieroglyphics crew, working closely with Domino and Souls of Mischief. In 1994, he released his first solo LP Like It Should Be, an excellent record that showcased his smooth and charismatic flow over undeniably funky, sample-heavy beats. Unfortunately, as with the early classic albums released by his Hiero brethren, limited promotion and lack of label support hampered the release, resulting in disappointing sales, and Extra Pro was dropped by both his label and the crew. Despite these major setbacks, he continued to record, appearing on soundtracks (A Low Down Dirty Shame and Die Hard 3) and releasing two (very hard to find) albums called 2 For 15 and Masterpiece. As of late 2002, Extra Prolific has been very low profile, but dedicated Hiero heads still bump his first album regularly. Hopefully he'll be back in the game soon.
