<title>Dogs Die in Hot Cars Discography on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.6487938&amp;rws=%2Fdogs-die-in-hot-cars%2Fdiscography.rss</link><description>Like many bands out there, Scotland's Dogs Die In Hot Cars formed as a knee-jerk reaction to the boredom of school and growing up in a small town. Unlike many, however, DDIHC stuck with their passion, eventually leaving the safe, "cover-versions" confines of Fife for the more fertile, "write-'em-yourself" musical pastures of Glasgow. In Glasgow, the band was discovered by the folks at Radiate, and in 2003, released the single "I Love You Because I Have To." The new wave-meets-ska sound was met with enthusiastic praise and brisk sales, which, in turn, led to a frenzy of A&amp;R interest. Signing with V2, the sextet entered the studio and brought the production duo of Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley with them. Responsible for producing an obscene amount of hits throughout the 1980's (Madness, Elvis Costello, etc.), Langer and Winstanley were perfectly suited to highlight the band's quirky retro-wave sound. In 2004, Dogs Die In Hot Cars released their debut, &lt;I&gt;Please Describe Yourself&lt;/I&gt;.
