<title>Playlists Featuring DJ Logic on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.9232&amp;variant=artist-playlists&amp;rws=%2Fdj-logic%2Fplaylists.rss</link><description>Logic is more of a session musician than a DJ: his resume is filled with more Jazz-Funk and rock groups than hip-hop emcees, and he can rock the turntables in just about any setting. He's gained a large following from his work as a fourth member of Jazz-Funk artists Medeski, Martin &amp; Wood; he adds a distinct new voice, opening their concerts with fresh hip-hop and covering their grooves in an experimental ambient haze. Before MMW, Logic worked with Living Colour's avant-guitarist Vernon Reid, and he's worked with other groups including jazzy New Yorkers Sex Mob and guitarist Marc Ribot. His own group, Project Logic, includes Melvin Gibbs of the Rollins Band on bass and Skoota Warner of Arrested Development on drums, and features an all-star cast of guests joining in the trio's solid grooves. Besides mastering the tricky finger-work required to be a top-flight DJ, Logic has played a major role in expanding the turntables' place in popular music.
