<title>David Porter Discography on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://mp3.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.10408&amp;rws=%2Fdavid-porter%2Fdiscography.rss</link><description>Stax mainstay David Porter shall be forever known as the other half of the writing and producing duo that featured Isaac Hayes. Working out of Memphis, the names "Hayes/Porter" would grace the singles featuring Sam &amp; Dave's finest moments, as well as tracks by Johnnie Taylor and Mable John in the mid 1960s. As the public lost interest in the sounds of raw southern soul (and Isaac Hayes began donning the chain mail for his own solo career), David Porter found himself without a following. He released some strong, heavily orchestrated records in the early '70s -- most notably the concept album &lt;I&gt;Victim of the Joke?&lt;/I&gt; which has recently been re-released.
