<title>Music Videos by Brutal Truth on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.3784&amp;rws=%2Fbrutal-truth%2Fmusic-videos.rss</link><description>NYC metal gods Brutal Truth forged maniacally violent, punishing sounds that pushed the limits of listenability. Sounding as if it were devised for a snuff film or a "thrill kill" computer game, their music is harsh, truculent, and, yes, brutal. No false advertising here. Anti-capitalism, anti-racism, anti-religion, anti- pretty much everything except marijuana, this band thoroughly embraced negativity and nihilism and turned them into the creative forces that drove their music. Lead vocalist Kevin Sharp sings as if his words could fan the flames of Armageddon -- he sings as if he were himself on fire. With the rest of the band, he decimated the Metal engine of Grindcore and reassembled it using Industrial technology. The Robocop monstrosity this resulted in was truly something new under the sun: fast (but not enslaved to speed), noisy (but grooveable), crackling and sludgy at the same time. The group disbanded in 1998.
