Blackstrap Discography on Rhapsody Online

Proudly exhibiting their love for shoegazer, Blackstrap revive the sounds of their idols with a lustrous kaleidoscope of fuzz, drone, lust and underlying gloom. With multi-layered arrangements and a keen pop awareness, the quintet from Stockholm, Sweden, evokes the inventive sounds of bands like My Bloody Valentine, the Jesus and Mary Chain and Stereolab. Showcasing the placid harmonies of vocalists Jonatan Westh and Maria Linden over heavy doses of dreamy noise pop, Blackstrap debuted with the album Ghost Children in 2003. But it wasn't until 2008 with the release of Steal My Horses and Run that the band started garnering international attention.
