He grew up in Buenos Aires playing flute, piano and saxophone, among other instruments, and he began composing on the piano when he was 18 years old. His professional music career began in earnest when he became part of La Portuaria, the respected Argentinean rock band that released four albums before dissolving in 1996. Free to pursue his own sound, Krygier found himself composing a lot of music for film and dance performances.
