<title>Playlists Featuring American Babies on Rhapsody Online</title><link>http://www.rhapsody.com/goto?rcid=art.15041443&amp;variant=artist-playlists&amp;rws=%2Famerican-babies%2Fplaylists.rss</link><description>Think of American Babies as Tom Hamilton's version of Old &amp; In The Way: a collection of musicians, some well-known in the psychedelic jam rock scene, return to their roots for a stripped down, Americana-laced album with original and impressive songwriting that speaks to life on the road, love and relationships. Hamilton (guitar, vocals), of the live-tronica persuaded Brothers Past, compiled this group of friends in 2006 that includes Joe Russo (drummer from the organ-and-drum titans Benevento/Russo Duo), Jim Hamilton (bass, vocals), Kevin Kendrick (vibraphone master), Moira Cohen (guitar, vocals), and Scott Metzger (accomplished guitarist of RANA). In contrast to their other projects, the American Babies eschew amplified, jam-happy tendencies for a mix of stricter song structures and meaningful lyrics that is both a welcome diversion for their established jam fans and a worthy addition for enthusiasts of twangy-Americana.
