As Perry's connections with London's punk elite exposed him to a wider variety of music and political point-of-views, these experiences were incorporated back into his own music -- some with better results than others. Still, he &lt;I&gt;did&lt;/I&gt; put his money where his mouth -- or in this case his pen -- was.
